ChainPoint is pleased to announce that it will develop a new software platform for UEBT, the Union for Ethical BioTrade. This software platform will support and optimize UEBT’s audit management system, connecting UEBT, certification bodies, UEBT members and their suppliers.

UEBT is a non-profit association that promotes sourcing with respect. Their UEBT standard acts as a guidepost for how companies and their suppliers should harvest, collect or grow natural ingredients in a way that is respectful of the local environment and the people who call it home.

“Through the experience of their staff and the flexibility of Chainpoint we managed to configure a system that is more efficient in collecting data, improves the quality of the data gathered and makes reporting on our data much easier.’’

Bertjan Bouman, UEBT Operations and Finance Director

About UEBT

UEBT was founded in 2007, following an UNCTAD initiative to promote business engagement in the ethical sourcing of biodiversity and in 2015 UEBT certification begins for natural ingredients and the joint UEBT/UTZ herbal tea certification program. UEBT ethical sourcing system certification begins, with Weleda and Natura Cosmetics as launching partners.
