Collaboration and traceability key topics at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit

By Anne Himeno | November 23, 2017

Recently ChainPoint participated as a speaker at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit in Paris. We were very pleased to see that this year included an entire half-day session dedicated to sustainable sourcing, and that the topics of traceability in the supply chain and pre-competitive collaboration between supply chain actors were prominent throughout the summit. These topics are at the core of what we do at ChainPoint and we have a lot of experience to support our customers achieve this through our software solutions.

The ChainPoint presentation focused on a case study in the food industry that can be applied to the cosmetics industry, which shares many similar supply chain issues. It highlighted the work we do for our customer 3S, a collaborative initiative in the cashew nut sector created to future-proof supply of quality cashew while improving socio-economic conditions of smallholder cashew farmers.
